Before University:

2005  Research: A simple research on making yoghurt with aloe and lactobacillus

    A research project for the contest of Shanghai Future Science and Technology Star. 

    Using fermentation technology to produce a kind of healthy yoghurt with aloe.


2007-2009  Contest: First prize in Shanghai AVR single chip programming contest in three consecutive years

    A programming contest for junior middle school students in Shanghai.

    Contest maily focuses on LCD screen, LED numeral tube, buzzling music, and flowing LED lights


2008  Research on chloroperoxidase dealing with water pollution(won prize in INTEL Innovation Contest in Shanghai)

    A research project for the contest of INTEL Innovation Contest in Shanghai.

    Using chloroperoxidase to analyze its effect on water treatment.

   

2009 Design of a socket that prevents electric shock(won prize in Future Engineering Contest in Shanghai)

    A design for the contest of Future Engineering Contest in Shanghai.

    An innovative elastic coating for the metal part of socket to prevent electric chock from touching it when plugging in.


2010-2011 Scientific innovation cultivation program:  'A robot with a multi-dimension operating hand that can change light bulbs' (won prize in INTEL Innovation Contest in Shanghai)

    A one-year group project guided by professor Tiansheng Lv from Shanghai Jiaotong University for the contest of INTEL Innovation Contest in Shanghai. 

    Design and implement a robot model which is used to change light bulbs on the streets. The robot is multi-dimention and has a control panel, it is powerful and flexible enough to replace human workers changing bulbs, which can protect workers from being injured when climbing high to change the bulb.

2013 Application: A remote &  online electrical appliances control center using infrared ray based on Arduino (Fudan Physic Teaching Lab)

 A versatile remote control center which can operate multiple electrical devices using infrared ray.

    Emit infrared ray instructions under Internet control from most remote devices(PC, smartphone, iPad)

    Can memorize codes of up to 3 infrared control devices

    A project for the Arduino contest held by Fudan Physic research center


2013-2014 FDUROP Project: 'The development of an inaccurate graph isomorphism algorithm and its application in prototype machine'(Ranked 2 out of 8 in Information Science and Technology department of Fudan University)

  Using images captured from production line and specific algorithms to locate products and pile them up in boxes. 

    Funded 6000 RMB by FuDan Undergraduate Research Opportunity Program and cooperated with Shanghai GoWell Robot company

    Using Matlab for basic algorithm, then upgraded to OpenCV version and realized cross platform (raspberry, DSP)

    Improved the algorithm to endure more noises and overlaps and high recognition of different kinds of products on the same production line.

    30% faster and 10% more accurate than the product from competitor company

    Some part of my achievement has been applied to a new visual examining system in a company and exhibited in 2014 Shanghai Industrial Exhibition Show.


2013-2014  TengFei Project: 'Multipath TCP protocol and its application in modern teaching'(Undergraduate research project)


  A group project using multipath network to enable students to view PPT slides on their own devices when lecturing, funded RMB2000 by TengFei Program, an inter-disciplinary research project.

    Achieved nearly double transfer speed with Cable and wireless network as multipath

    Launched server side application using MFC, nginx server, sqlite database and php scripts and user side application supporting multiple platform and devices (PC, iOS & Android)


2014  Application: A real-time system for remotely operating experiments. (Fudan Physic Teaching Lab)

  To implement remote control and monitor using raspberry and camera so that physics experiments can be operated through Internet.

     Established the server of the system with Python web

     Completed the connection between Camera and CSI port with most 2592x1944 resolution and Raspberry running on Raspbian (An adapted Debian based linux system)

     Successfully implemented controlling through internet with most 21 GPIO ports and completed the experiment of gravity measurement


2014  Research: 'An improved method of acquaintance immunization strategy in complex network'(Journal of Theoretical Biology(SCI,IF:2.116),Volume 385, 21 November 2015, Pages 58-65, First Author)

  A research to find an improved method to effectively immune a virus spreading in complex network.

     A new Index of NSI is presented to value the structure and importance of nodes in network

     Improved the classical acquaintance immunization strategy using NSI to protect 14.9% more nodes and decrease the spread rate by 27.6% (compared to classical strategy in our simulation)

     Simulated in various network structure models. Proposed the new method which is the best in most random graph compared to other immunization strategies in the perspective of maximum percentage of infected nodes


2014-2015  Research: 'The Application Characteristics of Traditional Chinese Medical Science Treatment On Dizziness based on Data-Mining Apriori Algorithm'( International Journal of Wireless and Mobile Computing, 2015 Vol.9, No.4, pp.349 - 354, First Student Author)

  To investigate statistical law in Traditional Chinese Medical(TCM) Treatment on vertigo using data mining technique

     Created an online database of TCM treatment prescriptions where 100 cases of prescriptions are selected from books “Clinical Cases Series from Hundreds of Famous Traditional Chinese Clinicians in One Century”

     A mobile app is built to let clinicians upload new diagnosis results to the server database and view updating data-mining results.

    Take advantage of data mining technique with the software SPSS (Statistical Product and Service Solutions), in particular Apriori algorithm for association rules mining (ARM) interrelationships among TCM syndromes of vertigo, clinical symptoms, and curative Chinese herbal medicine for vertigo revealed may help research on vertigo using TCM


2014, Research:  An Adaptive Computer-aided Tongue Diagnosis Method using Color-calibration Preprocessing and Multiple Feature Synthesis based on Android(published in International Journal of Wireless and Mobile Computing, First Student Author)

  A research on diagnosing disease by taking a picture from tongue based on Android phone.

    Used QCGP to solve the problem of white balance

    Adapted HSV model in Tongue brim pixels searching

    Adapted inverted pentagonal four-line tongue outline searching and linking algorithm

    Accuracy and effectiveness corroborated with professional clinicians


2015, Contest: Meritorious Winner in Mathematical Contest in Modeling 2015

    A solution to find missing crash plane, for the contest of mathematical modeling.

    We proposed several models, including using time and direction to find rough flying area, modeling the crash process with many factors considered, the floating with current process after crash, the best routine plan to search. 

    This solution is finished within 4 days with the combined efforts of our team.


2015, Research: A Novel Automatic Tongue Image Segmentation Algorithm: Color Enhancement Method Based on L*a*b* Color Space  (Published in Bioinformatics and Biomedicine (BIBM), 2015 IEEE International Conference on, First Author)

  To find a new method to detect tongue contour in the tongue diagnosis image.

    Combined the benefits of three color-spaces, RGB, HSV and L*a*b and performed color enhancement to constrain the area of interest

    Found appropriate luminance in determination the target region.

    Cooperated with Shanghai Traditional Chinese Medicine University and serious of local hospitals


2015, Research: The Study of the Compatibility Rules of Traditional Chinese Medicine Based on Apriori and HMETIS Hypergraph Partitioning Algorithm  ( VLDB DMAH 2015, The First International Workshop on Data Management and Analytics for Medicine and Healthcare, accepted, Third Author)

  To use the data mining algorithm to effectively discovery the core herbs and combination rules treating lung cancer

    Hypergraph cluster detection algorithm based on Apriori has been applied

    Found 15 core traditional herbs by the algorithm

     Cooperated with Shanghai Traditional Chinese Medicine University and serious of local hospitals

    Results are corroborated with core concepts of famous doctors to strengthen the body resistance and to eliminate pathogenic factors when treating lung cancer in Traditional Chinese Medicine


2015, Application: Structure light 3D modeling system  (Commercial Product)

  A commercial project of building a system using structure light to obtain 3D Point Cloud model of the object with camera and projector.

    Project light with stripe patterns on object surface to detect concave and convex

    Statistical filter and z-index pass-through filter to remove noises

     SIFT algorithm used to extract characteristic points; ICP algorithm to merge faces; Greedy Triangulation algorithm for smooth visualization

    Friendly user interface coded with Qt software

EXTRACURRICULAR EXPERIENCE

I take part in many inschool/outschool organizations in my extracurricular time, which greatly enriches my life.

I spent a year volunteering in Sunflower Weekend School, which is a weekend charity school aimed at helping children of migrant workers in Shanghai. I was assigned to English Junior class, making sure students can understand teacher’s instructions well and correcting children’s pronunciation.

Last summer, I joined support-education team in our school, giving lessons and conducting surveys in Yunnan province (a very poor and remote district in China)

I also joined Fudan Students’ Union and was technical director in Department of Information in 2014, maintaining and developing the website of Fudan Students’ Union (http://su.fudan.edu.cn).

I am also a member of Shuping scholarship administration office, IT branch. Developping and administrating Online scholarship application system.

This year, I have joined IEEE as a student member.Ecpecting to learn more in IEEE big family.
